What role was President Obama fulfilling when he fired General McChrystal?
He was fulfilling his role as Commander and Chief of the armed forces. That makes him the big boss and when someone bad mouths him and it is disrespectful of the position he should go. You cannot have members of the armed forces disrespecting the positions of authority. The whole structure of it would collapse. So McChrystal did that .
