Do you separate fact from fiction when watching tv or listening to radio?

I think no one can so how do you... and how can you relay those so called facts to people when you don't even know their true? In other words, do you ever follow up and see with your own eyes that what your hearing is true and if not then can't i assume that everything i hear is potentially garbage?

do you mean watching NEWS on tv? i know a lot of people now who refrain from watching news, me is one of them

You can safely assume everything you hear is potentially garbage. Nearly everything has a slant. Some is really correct, and some is just total and complete bias.

Consider the Rush Limbaugh CBS news report with Katie Couric. CBS made a big deal out of playing a segment where Rush says he wants Obama to fail. Interesting enough however, they only played half of the sentence... over and over and never completed the sentence beyond those words to include that RL wants Obama to fail if his agenda is to turn the US into a socialist nation.

They all do it. Whether it's liberal media or conservative media... take things out of context and feed it to the masses.

We still need Paul Harvey! To get the Rest of the Story...

I listen to all stations and NPR radio.

Then I attempt to filter out all the bias put forth as "News."

I just can't understand the apparent mindless people who believe what some "shock Jock," like that Rush guy, puts out as truth.

He and others of his ilk are after ratings. Nothing more, nothing less.

Stir the pot, get people to watch his show. Don't people understand this?
