Headlines you never see, why?

a whiteman has just shot dead 15 people...


my white housekeeper is really cool


a white women just saved a baby from a burning car


a white boy stole some sweets





when a news story involves a non 'white' person it is racialised (especially if it is a negitive story)


when a news story involves 'white' people it is never racialised.





this makes no sense whatsoever, it serves no purpose to the story other than lazy observation or in the daily mails case stiring up animosity within the population as a whole.

i know what you mean. people just don't seem to get that a criminal is a criminal regardless of skin colour. it doesn't matter. Someone on here asked "why weren't we told Fritzl was Jewish?"Because it doesn't and shouldn't matter. The guy imprisoned and raped his daughter for years producing children with her and then letting one of them die. Him being Jewish is about as relevant as what his favourite breakfast cereal is or whether he drinks tea or coffee. A criminal is a criminal.




I don't know what kind of newspaper you read but headlines hardly ever if at all tell the color. But pictures do, no need to mention.


As well, lots of positive stuff comes from non-whites in the media and still, no color is mentioned.

Would you not automatically assume that the man was white?

I think all this 'racist' rubbish is just that. Who cares if the person is black or white. If you describe a perpetrator of a crime then colour is a distinguishing feature as much as eye colour, sex, height etc. If a black man has stolen a car then of course the police stop and question only black men. Simarly if a white man was seen stealing a car then there is little point in stopping a black woman. Someone I once knew in the police service got round this by calling everyone either dark green or light green. These days the only people that cant be discriminated against are white men. 'Black' is racist and 'Woman' is sexist. (you are only picking on my cos I am black/a woman)





Black boards are now Chalk boards. White boards are Marker boards. We have fire fighters, police officers. Man holes are inspection holes. People from Britain are 'Brits' but if you shorten the name of someone from Pakistan that is racist. We have no Golliwogs anymore when they were a fiction of Enid Blytons imagination and little figures on jam jars. Once upon a time we had black dolls (I have one and I am white) until we were told it was racist so they stopped doing them until the black children said they had no dolls to play with so that was racist and we had them once again. If you go to Jamaica then the black people are proud to be called black yet here if we mention what colour anybody is then the racist card is played.





Can anyone tell me why the police have an association of black police officers? There is not an association of white police officers.
